Tips For Relaxation

Stress is our body's way to respond to real or perceived threat. Chronic stress can have detrimental negative consequences for our body, mind, and spirit. Unfortunately, relaxing is becoming more and more difficult in our hectic lives.


There are a few quick ways to relax and manage stress that can do wonders for our physical and emotional well-being when practiced regularly. Pick at least three items from the list below and start practicing today.

Avoid people and situations that stress you

Do deep breathing at least 3 times a day for 5 minutes

Spend more time with supportive friends and family

Get a good night sleep each and every night

Work on better time management

Reach out to support systems

Get your feelings out

Eat healthy

Exercise daily

Learn to say NO

Keep daily gratitude journal

Practice positive self-talk

Avoid using drugs and alcohol to cope

Delegate and get help

Set limits

Slow down and rest

Listen to relaxing music

Laugh often

Do meditation and yoga

Keep a journal

Go for a walk, preferably in nature

Take a bubble bath



And remember not to sweat the small stuff!
